About Me

Ever since I was about 13 I’ve been interested in photography. Even after using my Dads credit card to subscribe to a years’ worth of Time Magazines just to get a 35mm film camera for free, I’ve had camera of some sorts in my hand.

I’ve used film up until 19, when I bought my first digital camera. It was a brand X 1MP machine with about 30 shots of holding power. This would change if the batteries were low! This lasted about a year until I purchased a Kodak DC3800, a 2.3MP camera with 1792 x 1184 resolution. This one went for about 3 years until I upgraded to a SLR-like Kodak P880. Finally, in 2008, my first DSLR a Canon 350D followed by a Canon 550D in 2010.

I quickly expanded my equipment collection with the following lenses:

Canon 10-22mm

Canon 50mm 1.8

Canon 17-85mm USM L Series

Canon 70-200mm 4 USM L Series

And to protect the lenses, all of them have Hoya filters.

For lighting, I’ve originally used a Sigma 430X flash when I bought my 1st DSLR, however I purchased a Elinchrom 500/500 BXRi lighting kit. I can’t rave about it enough, but to add to that collection is a Manfrotto extendable boom tripod and a 170cm octabox diffuser.

While I’ve done a lot of automotive photography in hangouts, shows and comps my passion holds no bounds when trying to capture the perfect picture. I’m currently getting into portrait and modelling photography while continuing automotive styles. I still consider myself a student of photography and will always be keen to learn and understand new processes and concepts.
